UPCOMING PROCEDURES
John L. Everitt – I will be going in for major back surgery May 6 at River Oaks hospital. My surgeon will be Dr. VanLaningham. I have suffered for two and a half years worth of serious back issues since injuring myself fighting a flash fire on my farm. The surgery will take 4-5 hours. The Lord has afforded me his protection in the past with two major surgeries on my legs for broken tibia. So, I am no stranger to long recoveries. I pray that He will see fit to bring me through this one and continue in His service here on earth. 4/8 (Phillips)
Nancy Hendrix – I will be having surgery on May 3.
I will have a rod put in my leg down to the ankle and a knee replacement. It will be a big serious surgery. Please pray it will help so I can walk again. 4/23 (Bigbie)

Kelly Price – Thank you for your prayers. Kelly was accepted into the clinical trial at Vanderbilt and treatment began on March 14th. We will travel to Nashville bi-weekly for appointments. Please continue to pray with us for traveling grace, that side effects will stay away, and that this will be the treatment the Lord will use to rid her body of this cancer. First scans to see how the treatment is working are scheduled for May 9th. 3/23 (Fortenberry)
Shep Moore, 14 year old grandson to Butch and Teresa Bates, was jut diagnosed with leukemia and lymphoma. He has started chemo treatments at the hospital and will continue treatments for 2 years. 8/9 (Bigbie)
Hazel Akers, sister to Jerry Yates, was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 B2 Uterine Serous Cancer. She will begin chemotherapy after Thanksgiving. Please keep Ms. Hazel and their family in you prayers during this journey. 11/13

Hunter Burkhalter, 11 year old, is doing well adjusting to the recent amputation of his leg. He is finished with chemo and will begin radiation treatments March 12-16. His case will go before the board on the 23rd to see what his next steps are. Please continue to pray for Hunter and his family. 2/14
Michael Richardson went to the doctor yesterday. His knee is healing. He can start putting weight on it and walk with one crutch and he can drive. He’s got to be very careful not to fall. Six more weeks but at least it’s an improvement. Continue to pray for healing. 4/3 (DeLaughter)
I have a prayer request this morning: Nora Hamil. She’s my sister and brother in law’s niece, daughter of Jamie and Chidinma Hamil, who is around 4 months old. The initial heart surgery went well and they monitored her all week last week. They closed up her chest on Friday and she tolerated that well. She’s still intubated but all the reports I’ve gotten have been good.. Please keep her and her family in your prayers!! (Submitted by Marie Kennedy) 3/23

Update on Laverne Lett, mother to Robert Lett: Mom got discharged last night and home at my sister’s. We have started hospice car for her. We trust and believe in God’s sovereign plan and ask for His mercies and grace for how ever long my mom has on this earth. I ask you especially pray for my sister Wanda as she has been her primary caregiver for the last 20 plus years . (Submitted by Robert Lett) 4/10
Good friends of mine and others in our church, who are not members, but are regulars on Sundays and Wednesdays – Avonell and Wayne Coleman, need our prayers. Wayne had back surgery today and will be home recovering. Avonell had surgery a good while back but still has severe problems with pain. (Submitted by Barbara Wilkins) 4/10
My neighbor, Mitch Clark, fell yesterday and is at UMMC and just got of surgery for a spinal cord contusion. He will be in ICU for a few days and then a week in hospital then rehab. His wife asked for prayers for complete healing. Thank you church family! (Submitted by Doris Phillips) 4/16

Doug’s sister, Jeanette Richie McLain, has been battling multiple myeloma for over 20 years. She has now been diagnosed with myelodysplasia, which is a precursor to leukemia. She will begin chemo again Monday, in addition to the treatments she takes for the myeloma. Please remember her in your prayers. (Submitted by Geri Richie) 4/23
